According to the official InterContinental London – The O2 website:
“Royal Greenwich is a historic destination that marks the starting point of every time zone in the world. TIME reflects accuracy, precision, confidence and reliability – characteristics embedded in the hotel’s DNA, managed and operated by the Arora Group.”
My purpose for a brief, weekend stay? – 2016 TEDxTeen #Untapped
Hotel Stay: Friday, January 15th, 2016 – Sunday, January 17th, 2016
Back in November, I had applied to attend this year’s TEDxTeen conference event. Branding myself as a Public Health Advocate, throughout the application I was asked questions about the potential benefits of attending the program. Such as, “How to ‘spread ideas learned?'” (A play on words TED – ideas worth spreading*).
InterContinental London – The O2
The InterContinental London – The O2 is one of the luxury hotels on the Greenwich Peninsula. Overlooking the River Thames and adjacent to the Canary Wharf, it would be anyone’s dream paradise. My view had been from the fifth floor of the hotel. Based on the photographs, the view was very picturesque. The food was exquisite. Fine dining for me usually consists of a chicken dish, but I opted for their guinea fowl dish. I was not disappointed to say the least. Although the hotel was in its infancy stage, it had the proper resources to provide ideal amenities and services. Literally steps away from the O2 Arena, the hotel had provided the necessary distance to walk to the conference’s destination. My only regret is not having the ability to stay longer. As my first study abroad experience, having both luxury and convenience made this experience incredibly memorable.
