Shaadow’s Movement of the Mind

Dance Performance | Shaadow Sefiroth | TEDxTeen

Movement, whether ‘intricate’ or ‘simple’ can make quite the impact. For seven years, the art form of dance has captivated the mind and body of Shaadow Sefiroth. He had first found “electric dance” in the country of France. Within a year, his attention had focused to hip-hop. Through research, Shaadow developed a deeper understanding of both the dance and culture of hip-hop.

Shaadow shares the values and elements of hip-hop culture within in his own life: “peace, love, unity, and fun.” Through further study in London, Shaadow is continuously able to strengthen his ability to utilize dance as a mechanism to explain and further understand subjects he cherishes.

As an individual having the opportunity to witness Shaadow Sefiroth’s dance and intricate movements on the TEDxTeen stage – photos and words alone cannot describe what I witnessed. There was a transformation of understanding and enlightenment. My camera had struggled to capture each of his movements, unsure of whether to focus on his hands or feet. Even the very fabric of his clothing had their own story to tell. Each fold, each crease depicted its own movement.

Without further ado…
